DDC ABO Blood Group Calculator
The DDC ABO Blood Group Calculator can be used to make predictions about possible paternity. However, for definitive results, a legal paternity test or paternity test should be performed.
Here are some uses for the ABO blood type calculator:
1. If the blood types of the mother and father are known, possible ABO blood types for the child can be determined (see table above).
2. If the mother's and child's blood types are known, possible ABO blood types for the father can be determined (see table below).

Understanding ABO Blood groups can be difficult. This is usually the case when the type O antigen is masked by the presence of type A or B antigens. The chart below shows the different genotypes.

For example, parents with blood type O will only produce children with blood type O. Two parents with blood type A will produce children with either blood type A or O. Two parents with blood type B will produce children with either blood type B or O. If one parent has blood type A and the other has blood type B, they will produce children with blood types A, B, AB, or O. If one parent has blood type A and the other has blood type AB, they will produce children with blood types A, B, or AB. If one parent has blood type A and the other has blood type O, they will produce children with blood types A or O.
Rh Positive (Rh+) and Rh Negative (Rh-) Blood Groups
The Rh (+/-) factor is separate from ABO blood groups. Similar to the masking of the O gene in ABO blood groups, the Rh negative (Rh-) gene is also masked by the presence of the Rh positive (Rh+) gene. Therefore, someone with Rh+ blood type can also have the Rh- gene. (See table below) Also, two Rh+ parents can have an Rh- child.
